- Description
The cost of all items on hand, at the price the shop paid. VAT is left out. Items on order but not yet in are left out.
- When to use
Use it to see how much money sits on the shelves. To see how long the stock will last, use Weeks of cover. To find stock that does not sell, use Dead stock value.
- Formula
For each product, the units on hand times its unit cost. Add these up.
