- Description
The money customers paid for their orders, without VAT. Discounts and Refunds are taken off. Most other metrics in this book divide by it.
- When to use
Use it to see how much the shop sold. To see what the sales earn, use Expected contribution profit. To see sales before discounts and returns, use Gross sales.

Gross sales minus discounts, minus Refunds. All amounts are without VAT.
